Brief overview of the qualifications required for the various positions at ATIC:
Research Scientist (Ph.D)
- Ph.D. degree in Geosciences, Image Processing, Geographical Information Science, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge background in remote sensing theory, statistics and signal processing are essential
- Significant experience in processing of multispectral/hyperspectral optical remote sensing data
- Demonstrated skill in utilizing remote sensing analysis for natural resource monitoring
- Experience in planning and managing remote sensing projects using remote sensing data.
- Knowledge of other remote sensing technologies (e.g. RADAR, LiDAR) would be beneficial.
- A publication record and computer programming skills are desirable
Research Analyst (M.Sc or B.Sc)
- Degree in Geosciences, Image Processing, Geographical Information Science, or related discipline
- Knowledge and experience in optical remote sensing and geospatial data analysis
- Experience with remote sensing and GIS software (ENVI, PCI, ArcGIS)
- Ability to lead field campaigns for the collection of ground validation data
- Basic Programming skills would be an asset
- Knowledge and experience in Optical Remote Sensing and Geospatial data analysis
- Knowledge of different optical sensors
- Experience with remote sensing and GIS software (ENVI, PCI, ArcGIS)
- Able to participate in field campaigns for the collection of ground validation data
Software Programmer (M.Sc, B.Sc or College diploma)
- Degree in Computer Science, Image Processing, or related discipline.
- Demonstrate experience in both scientific programming and web-based application development using popular languages (e.g. C++ /Java/PHP/Python)
- Knowledge in statistics, image processing and GIS
- Ability to provide on-site IT support for ATIC (computer maintenance, networking issues, etc.)
- Experience with remote sensing and GIS software would be an asset (ENVI, PCI, ArcGIS)
